Service Description

Every session is a new adventure. Gather and Grow Forest School offers child-led outdoor learning for primary aged children in a beautiful woodland setting at Splatt Farm Gardens. Rather than sitting behind desks, children spend their day exploring nature, building dens, creating, making, discovering wildlife, learning practical skills and following their own curiosity. Our experienced team gently weave elements of the primary curriculum into meaningful, hands-on experiences while nurturing confidence, resilience, creativity and a lifelong love of learning. Children are encouraged to take managed risks, solve problems, work together and develop a deep connection with the natural world. Sessions run from **10:00am–2:00pm** and include a balance of free exploration, collaborative projects, woodland skills, nature crafts, games and campfire cooking where appropriate. Every season brings something new to discover. Whether your child is home educated, flexi-schooled or simply thrives learning outdoors, Gather and Grow provides a welcoming community where every child is free to learn, belong and flourish at their own pace.

Cancellation Policy

Booking Terms & Session Information By booking a Gather & Grow Forest School session, you agree to the following terms: Bookings & Cancellations All bookings must be paid for in advance. Bookings are non-refundable and non-transferable if you choose not to attend or your child is unable to attend. We reserve the right to cancel a session if insufficient bookings have been received. Where possible, this decision will be made at least 5 days before the session, and a full refund will be issued. We may also cancel sessions due to severe weather, staff illness or other circumstances beyond our control. In these cases, a refund or alternative date will be offered. Arrival & Collection Please arrive a few minutes before the session starts. Children must remain with their parent or carer in the car park until collected by a member of the Gather & Grow team. At the end of the session, children will be returned to the car park for collection. Please do not enter the Forest School area during sessions unless invited by a member of staff, as this can disrupt activities. Parents & Carers Parents and carers are welcome to leave the site during the session or remain if this best supports their child's needs. If remaining on site, we ask that adults allow children to engage independently and avoid interrupting the session unless necessary. If you'd like to stay, you're warmly invited to volunteer around Splatt Farm Gardens during the session. There are always plenty of gardening and conservation tasks to get involved with! Clothing Forest School takes place outdoors in almost all weather. Please ensure your child arrives wearing suitable clothing and sturdy footwear that can get muddy.
