What this is

A low-pressure day outdoors

Family Field Days are a simple invitation to spend time outside together.

There’s no set timetable and no need to “do” anything in particular.

Children can explore nature at their own pace. Adults can sit, walk, rest, or join in.

It’s a chance to step away from screens, schedules, and everyday demands and just be together in a field.

What You'll Find

Depending on the season, you may discover:

🌳 Natural play spaces and climbing equipment

🛖 Dens, hammocks and imaginative play areas

🌿 Gardens, food forest and wildlife habitats

🍓 Pick-your-own fruit when in season

🔥 Campfires, communal picnics and shared meals

🐞 Wildlife spotting, bug hunting and nature exploration

🌻 Seasonal activities inspired by the land and time of year

💚 Opportunities to meet like-minded local families

You might find families:

  • exploring the food forest and open field

  • building dens and playing freely

  • sitting together on blankets

  • walking quietly through nature

  • sharing food outdoors

  • doing absolutely nothing for a while

All ways of being here are welcome.

🌼 Families come here when they want:

  • a slower day together

  • less pressure and more space

  • children to have freedom outdoors

  • a break from busy routines

  • time that doesn’t feel structured or rushed

It’s not about activities.

It’s about space to be together differently.
