About Us

Splatt Farm Gardens is more than a place. It is a living experiment in how humans can return to right relationship with the land — through care, creativity, community, and a deep respect for life in all its forms.

Nestled in the Somerset countryside, our little patch of Earth is home to a growing landscape of possibilities: regenerative food gardens, young food forests, permaculture projects, community gatherings, and nature-based learning for all ages. We are a small, non-profit community rooted in three guiding values:

🌱 Wellbeing of the individual
🌿 Wellbeing of the community
🌍 Wellbeing of the Earth

Everything we do begins with connection — to soil, to season, to each other.

Earth-Rooted Living

We are gently building a place where people can learn from the land, support its healing, and be nourished by what grows here.
Our work includes:

  • Regenerative food growing — rebuilding soil health, growing nutrient-rich food, and practising Earth-honouring agriculture.

  • Permaculture design — creating systems that are resilient, beautiful, and in harmony with natural cycles.

  • Developing food forests — planting long-term, diverse ecosystems that feed humans and wildlife alike.

  • Habitat restoration and tree planting — with community support and donations that help this landscape thrive.

The land teaches us patience, presence, and reciprocity. We give our hands; it gives us food, grounding, and surprising grace.

A Space for Community

We believe that belonging grows when people gather with purpose and kindness.

Throughout the year, we host:

🌿 Working Weekends — community projects, muddy hands, shared meals, good company.
🌱 Volunteering opportunities — for anyone who feels called to grow, tend, and learn.
🔥 Seasonal open days — a chance to meet, explore, play, and connect.
🌳 ‘Buy a Tree’ contributions — helping us rewild edges, restore biodiversity, and build future woodlands.
⛺ Off-grid camping — simple, peaceful stays for those seeking nature, quiet, and birdsong.
🌲 Forest school (coming soon) — nature-based adventures for little explorers and families.

We’re not here to create a polished attraction. We’re here to build a living community space — imperfect, evolving, and full of heart.

Who We Are

Splatt Growing Community CIC is held by Amanda, a land-carer, teacher, and space-holder with a background in permaculture, mindful nature connection, yoga, and trauma-informed practice. She is supported by a circle of volunteers, makers, growers, families, and friends who believe that a healed Earth begins with healed relationships.

Together, we are learning how to live in a way that is slower, kinder, more communal, and more deeply rooted in the land beneath our feet.

Our Invitation

If you feel drawn to reconnect with nature, meet like-minded souls, learn regenerative skills, or simply spend more time outdoors, you are warmly welcome here.

Come plant, camp, play, learn, and help us grow a thriving, Earth-honouring community.

Come home to the land.

Come home to each other.
Come home to what truly matters.

Whether sitting in stillness or laughing in the compost loo, she holds space for people to come home to themselves in their wholeness: fully, freely, and without shame.

Pete

Builder, Teacher and Tantric Explorer

Pete is the soul with a saw — offering hands-on guidance to those who want to connect through building and making. He teaches practical skills like carpentry, plumbing, and working with tools, empowering others to bring their visions into form.

He’s also on his own deep journey of healing, weaving Tantric wisdom, presence, and body-based practice into daily life. A quiet anchor with a cheeky grin.
